One of the most common things I see in our office is foot pain, knee pain, hip pain, and low back pain.  Many are in disbelief when I tell them I am going to touch the top bone of their neck and usually you will feel better.  The fact of the matter is this, when the top bone of the neck misaligns, the head will tilt to one side.  As a result, the rest of the body will compensate in an attempt to rebalance the body.  It is very common to see one shoulder tighten higher, one hip raise up, and this will bring a foot with it.  Now you have an individual with one shoulder always tight, a spine that is no longer structurally sound (leading to disc herniation and degeneration conditions such as spinal stenosis) and a lean to one side, creating more weight on one foot.  This will lead to foot pain, weak and damaged ligaments in the knee, and hip degeneration.  So by putting the atlas back into position, the body regains its normal weight bearing mode, and from your toes to your head, alignment happens!  It’s amazing to see, and I love what I do as a result of witnessing such miracles every day.
